Participants will explore narrative design, worldbuilding, and industry specific approaches to collaborative writing. In particular, this micro-credential will emphasize the art of providing, receiving, and responding to constructive critical feedback as part of working alongside professional editors. The content and approach to this micro-credential draws upon academic studies of writing combined with first-hand experience of professional writing.

Participants will experience direct engagement with industry professionals from Cubicle 7, Black Shamrock Games, and Goodman Games, providing real-world insights into the TTRPG landscape and networking opportunities. Participants will learn how to pitch ideas, write according to strict editorial standards, and assemble a strong portfolio of writing samples.

Where a Level 8 degree is absent, applications can be submitted via Maynooth University's Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Applicants who submit an application via RPL will also be asked to include a writing sample for assessment by the course instructors.
