Research Beacons
Our beacons guide us in organising and promoting research activities and collaborations. They are designed to bring together researchers from various disciplines to consider complex problems and encourage a holistic and collaborative approach to tackling grand challenges.
- Our research beacons encompass multiple Research Institutes, Centres, and projects related to a particular theme, including sustainability and climate change, health and well-being, data science and digital transformation, heritage and culture, society and public policy, and more. The idea is to concentrate expertise and resources on these pressing issues and drive research and innovation in these domains.
- Each beacon has focal points which can be broken down into more distinct areas of research or pools of light. Light illuminates the dark. It is pervasive and propogates without medium. It has many wavelengths, colours and frequencies. Our beacons aim to put our light into the world.
